This Augmented Reality Exhibition piece showcased the changing shoreline and landscape of Wellington, focusing around the Queens Wharf area. This research project was originally a collaboration between Victoria University of Wellington and the National Library of New Zealand aimed at bringing the library collections to life with new technologies. This was then placed within the Unfolding the Map Exhibition in collaboration with Fortyfive designs.
For this experience, users were able to explore the state of the Queens Wharf area at various points in Wellington's history. The shoreline was represented physically, with the buildings and other details being shown in AR, showcasing Wellington's expansion both outwards and upwards.
As one of the original researchers on the project, I then coordinated the digital content for this exhibition, designed the overall AR experience and developed the application in Unity3D.
